About Free Spirit Consulting Ltd

Free Spirit Consulting provides customer and business research and consultancy support for customer, product and marketing questions in the UK and internationally.  

We work on many different types of projects of varying scale and scope.  We have worked with smaller enterprises such as small London housing associations and regional charities.  Our larger clients include Cadbury, ABTA, House of Fraser and adidas among others.

Our core offer comprises qualitative research, workshop facilitation and brand planning.  The types of questions we research cover by way of example:

- how to develop or refresh a brand positioning to engage current customers and prospects

- how to improve customer service in order to deliver a better experience to futureproof the business

- how to connect with current competitor customers and prospects 

- how to develop or refine your current product range or communication

We are passionate about providing insight that makes a genuine difference to your business.  As such we work to a key set of values:

Integrity We take a pragmatic approach to your project and only choose research techniques that genuinely add value to the process rather than exist as window dressing to a proposal.  We want your projects to be a success so we will be completely honest with you about what you can and can't achieve. If we believe there's a better way of doing a project we will say so.

Rigour Thoroughness underpins everything we do. It's borne out of the belief that research is not just about asking questions and reporting what was said. We think it's far more than that.  From having a meaningful conversation with consumers to presenting insight in a way that engages your stakeholders, we take time to think about every stage of the project. 

Collaboration Our preferred mode of working is a collaborative one. We are experts in insight but not in your business although we hope to understand your commercial issues as thoroughly as we can. We believe the greater the collaboration the better the outcome. 

Clarity Our clients consistently tell us we land messages with key stakeholders even if they are not experienced in research.  We do that by building clear narrative for debriefs using succinct wording, diagrams and visuals too when they make sense.

Commercialism We don't just work in the theoretical world of what the customer wants but are highly experienced in translating ethereal customer need into practical business outputs. In every single debrief we provide practical and doable outputs grounded in that crossover between customer wants and business realities.
