Sam Martin, Executive Director at Exterior Architecture (ExA), an award-winning team of creative and innovative Landscape Architects.

I have designed, detailed and overseen construction of landscape projects in the UK, Europe, Russia, Asia and New Zealand. I take my design inspiration from 'place' and the way in which people use that place. But always ensuring that the natural environment of that place can express itself, be allowed to grow and ultimately dictate the terms. Without an awareness and understanding of natural systems and how places have evolved we cannot design these places for the future.
