HR Forum - Employment Law Update (East Midlands Chamber)

This East Midlands Chamber HR Forum is run in partnership with BRM Solicitors and provides a  platform for HR professionals to share experiences, knowledge, ideas, and to discuss mutual issues and problems, creating a hub supporting best practice. 

Amy Hallam, Director, BRM Solicitors will provide a comprehensive "need to know" employment law update including case study examples where delegates are encouraged to ask questions.

Next Responsible Solutions will cover what the Modern Slavery Act requires HR professionals to consider i.e.What HR policies and practices are affected (right to work, immigration checks, financial payments, recruitment practices and contracts), what training you should provide - and where to get advice and support, plus case study examples of bad practice and what could have made the difference.

Finally Alison Money from Sheffield Hallam University will introduce the Sheffield Innovation Programme which enables Sheffield City Region businesses (which includes a number of Derbyshire Local Authority areas) to access academic expertise, facilities and resources to stimulate innovation and support delivery of new products and services.
