About Vasiliki

Vasiliki is an award winning architectural lighting designer with over 12 years of presence in the lighting field. She graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2004 and she has been a practicing architect in Greece since 2005 (TEE).

Lighting started as an area of interest but soon gave Vasiliki a new academic and professional direction. After completing MSc in Lighting at the Bartlett, she joined a leading multinational engineering consultancy. Urban lighting and architectural integration have always been a prized topic. Her research on Urban Lighting Patterns for Glasgow’s riverfront received a Young Lighter’s Award in 2009, later published by University of Lausanne and presented at the PLDC 2011 Lighting Conference in Madrid.

In 2013, Vasiliki established an independent design consultancy with clients including the Rothschild Foundation and the Rothschild Family Office before joining GIA Equation in 2017. She has worked on numerous projects in the UK and abroad including urban scale projects and competitions. Some notable projects include the MALIN +GOETZ Flagship Store, Tate Modern Extension, Dublin Airport T2, Dongdaemun Design Park and Plaza, Pinwheel Triangle, Segovia Masterplan Development, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre and the Acropolis Museum in Athens which received an IALD Excellence Award (2010).

Vasiliki is an active Professional member of IALD. She is involved with the Lighting Industry Resource Council (LIRC) Events Committee and is currently serving on the IALD Membership Committee for a second term.
